How to care for your Grizzly hat

You have, or just purchased, a Grizzly hat and you're wondering how to care for it? Here are a few basic suggestions:
1. Avoid using spray hat cleaners, the silicone may mat the felt down.
2. Using a hat brush (light for light hats, dark for dark hats),brush with and against the felt grain to stir up any dust or dirt. For the final brushing, depending upon your preference, brush with the grain for a flatter finish or against the grain for a fluffier look.
3. If you have a light colored hat that has become stained sprinkle the area with baby powder and let it sit overnight. Talcum powder helps pull sweat or grease stains out. The next morning brush out as you normally would.
4. Lint rollers can be useful for removing stubborn lint or pet hair.
5. Storage is the same as for any hat, place either upside down on a flat surface, hang on a hook or in a hat can/box.
6. For severe stains or reshaping consult a hat expert for advice.
7. You can vacuum your hat using a shop vacuum. Going against the grain, gently vacuum to pull up and loosen dirt.
