Hat Care Tips
New hat? Old hat? Either way, you’ll want to take care of your investment. Here are a few tips to keep your hat looking its best!
Handle with care:
Always pick up your hat by the crown, not the brim, to help maintain its shape. (Tipping your hat to greet a lady is the one exception!)
Store it right:
When not in use, store your hat upside down on a flat surface, on a hook, or in a hat can or box. Avoid leaving it in direct sunlight or in a hot horse trailer — and definitely not on your truck dashboard. Heat is your hat’s worst enemy!
Keep it clean:
Use the proper hat cleaner — dark spray for dark hats, light spray for light hats. A brush and sponge are must-haves, but be sure to keep separate tools for light and dark felts to prevent color transfer.
